The lake stretches along the borders of Israel, Jordan and Palestine and have got the privilege of being called sea only thanks to the enormous amount of salt in it. To make the picture more vivid, the amount of salt in the Dead Sea is 8.6 higher than in the ocean. What is even more amazing, besides being the deepest salty lake on earth it has also got a nominee in being the lowest point in the planet, due to its location - 425 meters below the sea level.

Though the length of the lake makes only 67 kilometers, while the width is 18. Every single year the level of water is dropping one meter, leaving a salty ground behind it. The rain water removes the salt and instead of them huge empty holes appear where you can easily fall, as there are around 1200 of such holes on the territory of Israel and Jordan. The deepest of such empty holes is 25 meters deep, can you imagine to step into such a ground?

But the Dead sea has become world known for its healing features and the beauty products available all over the place. The best part is covering yourself with a special dirt usually it stays in the big pots by the lake or you may also purchase from the shops around. Let the dirt dry out and then take a swim.
