The floating piers have been opened for public in Italy
The latest invention of Christo and Jeanne-Claude's, The Floating Piers have been recently completed on the Iseo Lake, Italy had been opened for all the tourists and locals to enjoy walking on foot across the lake and making a small trip to the neighboring cities and islands.
Now , both locals as well as tourists have a chance to make a sort of a short cut: instead of taking a round trip, you can simply enjoy the walking tour from the city of Sulzano to Monte Isola as well as hitting the island of San Paolo , being surrounded by a special route - the Floating Piers.
The idea of such kind of a bridge or piers appeared in 1970 but has seen the world only now and the so called piers is about 1.9 mile long. The first hundred of people who started to walk were secured with lifeguards, just in case of emergency.

People are enjoying the piers so much that some of them even take off the shoes, the other jump into the waters of the lakes and many of the visitors comparing experience with being on a boat.
Unfortunately this project will not last here forever, but will be available for all the tourists for free until July 3.
