This week a new theme park in Williamstown, Kentucky, has been opened.

Its main attraction is the reconstructed copy of the biblical vessel. Noah's Ark was built in the exact dimension, as defined in the Book of Genesis. Ark (510 feet long, 85 feet wide and 81 in height) occupies approximately one and a half football fields, and in the height is 9-storey building. Inside, it looks like natural, and the cabin is filled with models of animals, including the dinosaurs, and a pair of unicorns.

The founder of the Ark, Ken Ham, believes that his creation will be a place of pilgrimage for Christians from all around the world. This Noah's Ark has already been called the world's largest wooden structure. It was created with money from donations, junk bonds and the amounts which were entered in the Kentucky tax.

Ark began building in 2010, and the project for $ 100 million was initially shrouded in controversy. When the government announced tax breaks worth $ 18 million, it offended the scientific community. Scientists said that the point of interest is detrimental for education in the sphere of science and should not be supported by the government. According to them, the story of Noah's Ark has no scientific basis and is devoid of logic. For children it can be extremely harmful. However, it is definitely one of the most unusual theme parks in the world.

Nevertheless, the theme park was opened and caused unprecedented interest of the public. According to preliminary estimates, it is easy to attract about two million visitors a year.
