Diocletian's Palace

Majestic Diocletian's Palace was named in honor of the emperor who built it. Well-preserved structure was built in the Roman military style. The palace was protected by towers at each corner and had three entrances - the famous Golden Gate Silver Gate and the Iron Gate.
St. Domniusa Cathedral

It is located in the old area near the Palace of Diocletian. It served as the Diocletian mausoleum. Cathedral was designed and built in the 7th century. Since that time the Cathedral has remained virtually unchanged, except for the addition of the bell tower of 60 meters high.
Marjan Forest Park

Residents of Split are proud of Marjan Forest Park. This beautiful park occupies a peninsula with access to the city. It is a great place for tired tourists, where you can just sit in the shade and relax. The park is also known for its tall pine trees and hiking trails. The forest park Marjan can be easily reached in 15 minutes from the center of Split, after passing through the old quarter of the city.
