In the Spanish province of Almeria, there is the only European desert Tabernas.

Here you can find famous theme park - Mini Hollywood (OASYS), which offers guests to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Wild West and Hollywood westerns. In the 80s of the 20th century, the Spanish desert of Tabernas was a popular film set for films in the genre of a western. As the Wild West scenery were imitating the settlements, here even several permanent towns were constructed, by the way, with all trappings of that time - the banks, prisons and, of course, saloons.

In the desert of Tabernas a huge amount of popular films (Westerns) were shot in the mid 20th century - "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," "A Fistful of Dollars," as well as such films as "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," "Conan the Barbarian", "Cleopatra" and many others. After filming the towns were not dismantled, they eventually turned into a theme park mini-Hollywood.

Tourists who visit this park must be impressed with the very fact that they walk along the streets, where such stars as Clint Eastwood, Alain Delon, Sean Connery, Brigitte Bardot, Claudia Cardinale and many other celebrities were.

In the park there is also a museum of cinema, which shows saved sceneries from the time of filming Westerns. Among them are carriages, carts and cars that are still standing and have become an interesting part of the exhibition. The park has an interesting collection of cacti and a small zoo, which is a home to around 150 different animal species.

The most interesting show in the Mini-Hollywood is Show del Oeste, which is held in the main square of the western town. Here you can watch a play of bank robbery with bright chases, stunts and fights. Inside «The Yellow Rose» you can see the fiery Kang Kang and in the amphitheater of the zoo - original show which is performed by macaws. Also in the park there is a good water area.
In Spanish desert of Tabernas there are three theme parks, but the Mini Hollywood OASYS is the most interesting and the most attractive of them.
