Bulgarian artist named Christo Yavashev created a project to which he sought all his life. It is hard to say whether it is worth its money and whether there is any sense in it.

American sculptor and artist of Bulgarian origin, famous throughout the world thanks to his unusual work, in which he and his wife "packed up" different objects. The most famous of his creations was packing up the Reichstag building in Berlin.

In the first half of 2016 it was occupied by the most ambitious and expensive project of his life. He has created a floating pier of more than 220 thousand plastic cubes.Floating pier connecting several islands in the lakes of Iseo, in the Italian region of Lombardy, opened to the public on June 18, 2016.

At the time of the construction of the pier I had a white color, but on the day of its opening I it "dressed" in a bright orange colour. This unique pier remained open for 16 days, until the 3rd July in 2016. It was planned that during this period of time it can take more than half a million visitors.

To make the orange fabric, the artist invited the German team of seamstresses and provided them with specially made sewing machines. All the time, while the pier was opened to the public, more than 150 rescuers provided security for his passage.

The total cost of the project amounted to € 15 million. It was financed solely at the expense of the artist. According to him, this project - is a project of his life.
